Dallas Police Officer Victor Esparza #9807 was arrested today for Family Violence Assault, a class A misdemeanor and Family Violence Endangering a Child, a State Jail Felony. The arrest was made by Dallas Police Department Family Violence Detectives and stemmed from an incident that occurred on July 4, 2011.
Officer Esparza is assigned to the Southwest Patrol Division and has been employed by the Dallas Police Department since April, 2009. In addition to the criminal charges, an investigation will be conducted by the department’s Internal Affairs Division. Officer Esparza has been placed on Administrative Leave pending the completion of the investigations into his actions.
