Suspected terrorist arrested in Guyana

American citizen, Akbar Muhammad, said to be the financial advisor to Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, was today arrested on suspicion of terrorism and drug trafficking. According to reports Muhammad was taken from his hotel room at Princess Hotel, Providence, East Bank Demerara by local police at the behest of US law enforcement authorities.

He had presented lectures on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week at HBTV Channel 9, which is aligned to the PNCR. He was also expected to meet the PNC supporters in a public meeting at Linden and another at the ACDA Center on Thomas Road, Thomas Lands.
