Dallas police chief sends out memo to quell fears of FBI investigation of DPD

per Dallas Morning News

"For weeks now, rumors have run rampant through the Dallas police force that federal authorities were about to swoop in and arrest as many as a dozen Dallas police officers.
The rumors centered around allegations that officers had been stealing money and dope from drug dealers. One officer even told me that last night that he had heard than an officer had been arrested for selling dope to an undercover agent. That also turned to out to be untrue."

Is Ledbetter and Bonnie View/Sunnyvale dangerous for elderly and teens?Rapes,Robberies

I was just wondering what did people think our youth would be doing with their time during the summer without the capabilities to get a job and create income. Well from the looks of it, the last few days in the Ledbetter/Sunnyvale area has been rampant with teen crimes.

We have received reports of an unreported homicide victim eleven or twelve years old found in a dumpster last week(unconfirmed), in the same apartments where Shun Evans was murdered as he sat in a car. Also, we have confirmed two reports of teenagers being sexually assaulted or raped in the same apartments(The OasisPark Apartments). FYI, there are three sets of apartments on Ledbetter located within a half-mile of each other; formerly known as Robin Oaks, Robin Village, and East Ledbetter Village Apartments

(off the kuff)
Is this the Oasis of violence because one of their security guards maced a 64 year old resident and he died the next day and there wasn't any word of him being maced the day before! And to top it all off, a juvenile was walking home from Cummings Recreation Center just a block away and was robbed by a gang of teens. There are many more stories to report but we only selected these few. Stay tuned as we keep a close watch on this area.

Blog may be shutting down soon for lack of appreciation

With all the returning visitors, you would think that they would support what we are doing here. Sometimes I have to change stances from time to time and I must say, I see why The Dallas Morning News has put up a pay wall.

So if we don't start getting funds dropped in the Pay pal account located at the bottom of this post or to the right of this post, we will either have to shut down and find a job, kick in doors, or rob at gunpoint.I mean who else has taken John Wiley Price down?

Do you think this is a coincidence? PLEASE HELP us stay in business or crook politicians and others will continue to defy other media outlets.

Police investigate alleged racially-charged prank at Santa Monica High School (KTLA-TV)

Everyone leads us to believe that we are in a post racial society; when incidents like this occur it proves to be adverse. Race in one instance means "a contest of speed". So exactly what are we racing to; the plunder of the earths resources and minerals? "Can't we all just get along".-in my Rodney King voice-The Daily Phalanx

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KTLA) -- A criminal investigation is under way after members of the Santa Monica High School wrestling team allegedly hung a noose and used racially-charged remarks in an apparent prank against an African American teammate.

Early free fire works from Gold Metal Recyclers

From The Dallas Morning News

Early free fire works from Gold Metal Recyclers: "

firetruck2.jpgWow, not even a week after the City Council approved the new Gold Metal Recyclers plan to spiff up South Lamar and clean up the junkyard's image, lots and lots of fire trucks rushed to Gold Metals today to put out a blaze. I counted at least eight Fire Department vehicles, including ambulances, hazardous materials vehicles and other cars and trucks. This is the second fire in less than a year at Gold Metal. There was another one in 2008. And back in 2003, there was a big six-alarm blaze that smoldered for days, prompting complaints from nearby residents that heavy industrial facilities like this simply don't belong in residential areas. But heck, they just live there. Who cares what they think, right Carolyn?

That's Carolyn Davis to the rest of you. She's the City Council member who last week won approval for the zoning change that will allow Gold Metal Recyclers and neighboring Okon Metals to change the heavy industrial side of their operations and move them closer -- yes, closer -- to the residential side of South Lamar than they already are. I wonder if free residential fire insurance comes with that deal.

What in the world is Gold Metal doing that would cause so many fires? It sure seems to me that a business with this kind of a record should face some kind of investigation or something. It seems kind of expensive for so many fire trucks to keep showing up on their property like this. I would recommend that Carolyn Davis launch some kind of investigation, but I think she's too busy counting all of the money in her campaign coffers from the owners of Gold Metal and Okon. We'll get back to her.

While I was taking photos of the fire trucks today, a police officer, Corporal L.A. Cruz, approached me to ask what I was doing. I was standing on private property, having been invited by the owner of that property. Cruz asked if I was from the news media, and I said yes. I reminded him that regular ol' citizens have the right to take photos, too, and they don't have to identify themselves or get permission from the police to do this, especially when they're on private property. Cruz reminded me that I was taking photos of private property, and, well, you know, the owners have rights too.

This wasn't going well. It turns out that Cruz was working off duty as a security guard for Gold Metal. He didn't volunteer that information until I challenged him by asking why he was walking around in uniform and full utility belt doing the bidding of a private company. He said he does this with everyone. Everyone, I guess, standing on private property, photographing something that is entirely visible to the public. 'On or off duty, I cannot tell you, uh. ... I don't want you to misunderstand me,' he said. No, no, no officer. No misunderstanding at all.

So I asked Cruz what caused the fire. He said a pallet full of titanium spontaneously combusted in the heat. Sounds a little dubious to me. If you're interested, just Google 'titanium fire ignition temperature' and see what I mean.

Folks, I repeat: Hazardous, polluting, noisy, obnoxious, heavy industrial facilities do not belong in residential areas. Does it take another six-alarm fire for the City Council to get this message?

Following investigations by the Internal Affairs Division and disciplinary hearings this afternoon, Police Chief David O. Brown terminated three officers from employment with the Dallas Police Department.  The officers are Senior Corporal Cathryn Lafitte #8641, Sergeant Hector Roa #7374 and Police Officer Lavar Horne #8345.

On February 9, 2011, Senior Corporal Lafitte visited a Plano, TX hospital emergency room and during her visit became involved in a disturbance that resulted in a response by the Plano Police Department.  Senior Corporal Lafitte later posted comments on Facebook which by their nature would have a tendency to adversely affect, lower or destroy public respect and confidence in the Dallas Police Department or in her as a police officer.  During the period of May 19, 2011 through May 25, 2011 Senior Corporal Lafitte was absent without leave and on May 19, 2011 she violated the departmental sick leave policy.

On February 7, 2010, Sergeant Hector Roa was off duty and in civilian clothing when he became involved in an altercation at a Greenville Avenue Bar that led to his arrest for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.  During this off-duty incident, Sergeant Roa was found to be intoxicated in a public place and was carrying a secondary weapon with which he had not qualified.  On September 3, 2010, while Sergeant Roa was on Administrative Leave, he engaged in conduct which resulted in him receiving a citation for Reckless Conduct, was found to be intoxicated and was untruthful to a supervisor.

On April 28, 2011, Police Officer Horne conducted a traffic stop during which he conducted a search of the vehicle and seized a handgun and marijuana.  The occupants of the vehicle were allowed to leave with no enforcement action taken.  Officer Horne did not deliver the property to the Departmental custodian prior to the end of his shift, but instead placed the weapon in his personal bag and threw the marijuana away.  During the Internal Affairs’ investigation, it was discovered that on two separate occasions Officer Horne had failed to devote his entire time and attention to the business of the department.  Additionally, during April 2011, Officer Horne failed to follow established Departmental policies and procedures when he deactivated his Digital Video Recorder during the course of conducting traffic stops, operated his city vehicle without activating the Mobile Work Station and failed to mark out his location while conducting traffic stops.

Under civil service rules each of the officers have the right to appeal their terminations.

In addition to the disciplinary action, Officer Lavar Horne was arrested on two charges, Theft by a Public Servant and Tampering with Evidence.  Both charges are Third Degree Felonies which are punishable by incarceration of from 2 to 10 years and a fine not to exceed $10,000.

Dallas police catch Grandy's Robbery suspects in the act!Great Job

Police work is very dangerous and we must commend good cop work when we see it and the Aggravated Robbery of the Grandy's Restaurant last night is prime for such acknowledgement.

Xeryus Lydia

At approximately 10:30 p.m., three black male subjects entered the Grandy's located at the intersection of Samuell and Jim Miller with a sawed off shotgun demanding money.

Dallas police were called to the scene where they eventually apprehended all three suspects with their weapon, without incident.

Johnny Haskins
No one was injured and no money was taken. Suspects DeGregory Thompson, 25, Xeryus Lydia, 19, and Johnny Haskins,19,are all being held in the Lew Sterret Justice Center awaiting arraignment.

DeGregory Thompson
It appears that Lydia and Haskins were arrested on the scene and processed into the jail at approximately 2:50 a.m.

Thompson wasn't processed into the jail until 5:13  a.m., but I heard on the scanner that all suspects had been apprehended at the scene.

On the police reports, Lydia and Haskins were shown to be detained around 10:50 p.m. and Thompson around 2 a.m.

Thompson was recently featured on The Daily Phalanx mug shots back in March.

Dallas : I knew John Wiley Price's county Probate Court dealings would come out

There is so much to the investigation of Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price. One of my main areas of concern was the Probate Court dealings.

per wiki
probate court (also called a surrogate court) is a specialized court that deals with matters of probate and the administration of estates.

Probate courts administer proper distribution of the assets of a decedent (one who has died), adjudicates the validity of wills, enforces the provisions of a valid will (by issuing the grant of probate), preventsmalfeasance by executors and administrators of estates, and provides for the equitable distribution of the assets of persons who die intestate (without a valid will), such as by granting a grant of administration giving judicial approval to the personal representative to administer matters of the estate).

Dallas : John Wiley Price raid has local black leaders on PARANOIA

Just got word that all the so-called community leaders and parties interested in the John Wiley Price raid are meeting at Eva's in Southwest Center mall at 7 p.m., topic of discussion"F.B.I Climate in the Community." THIS MEETING WAS ALLEGED CALLED BY KEN CARTER(PR man for Don Hill) AND PASSED ON TO EDNA PEMBERTON WHO TOLD SOMEONE ELSE!

Negros in Dallas are running scared now. Don't be (scurred) now, G-D's punishment will be far worse than the FBI's. All they had to do was do right by their community, which most of them still didn't wake up after the Don Hill, Dallas City Hall corruption scandal. I see people claiming snitches, but if John Wiley Price or anyone else for that matter are not participating in illegal activities, why would someone have to snitch on them? Please stay tuned, we have so much juicy news to give.

If you have any information on a community activist, religous leader, politician who claims to represent Southern Dallas etc. hit me up I'M SNITCHING.

Yemen : Mass Protests Against Saleh's Regime Persist

Tens of thousands of Yemenis gathered together in the capital Sana'a on Friday June 24 to protest the expected return of President Ali Abdullah Saleh.

President Saleh, has been in Saudi Arabia recovering from injuries following a blast in the Presidential Palace on June 3.

Demonstrators demanded Mr. Saleh surrender any claim to power but the President refuses to do so.

The United States and Gulf Arab leaders are pressing the Yemeni president to step down as Yemen's future seems to be heading towards a deeper turmoil.

President Saleh's repeated refusals to transfer power to his Vice President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi in a transition period have led to an escalation of bloodshed.
