Social Networking can never beat real world friendship

Have you not come across people who have thousands of friends on various networking sites and for that matter at least a hundred different id’s on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc. Of course no wonder that they personally know all of them too well. But having a bigger network in itself is not a bad thing but it does not really mean friendship. You add even those people whom you have met only once in your life and have spoken to them for only about a few minutes, surely it does give an impression to people that you are amiable but today, who is away from reality?

Social Networking can never beat real world friendship

So at the end of the day, though social sites can help you keep in touch, offer you a new platform for sharing views and especially photographs, connect to people, but it is certain that you will one day surely give up on all of them. What was in the beginning a whole new world will after some time become a boring activity. But this certainly does not happen with real world friendship. What you are doing here is not just making friends but discovering a person. An ineffable connection is in place when people meet. Gestures, tone, expression and the sheer vibe all make the connection visceral. Personal social connection is a different ball game all together.
