Congresswoman Johnson hosts Academy Day @ University of North Texas-Dallas

Congresswoman Johnson encourages students who are interested in receiving a Congressional Appointment to one of the U.S. Military Service Academies to attend her 18th Annual Academy Day at the University of North Texas (UNT) at Dallas. Graduates of the U.S. Military Service Academies receive for their service an excellent education valued at more than $400,000, and enter the military post-graduation as an officer. 
The event provides students with information about the five U.S. Service Academies and explains the process of obtaining nominations and appointments. A midshipman from the Naval Academy and a West Point cadet will be on hand, in addition to Officers from the Air Force Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy, and U.S. Naval Academy.
