I will report back on the may issues being heard in this committee meeting regarding the Texas Public Information Act. TPIA, is very important in the passing of information to the public from taxpayer funded entities such as city, county, state government respectively.What is really foul though, is that an economic development corporation that receives tax-payer funds is not subject or will not be in accords with this proposed bill

SB 1130 Hegar Relating to the exception from required public disclosure of certain records of an appraisal district. |
SB 1638 Davis Relating to the exception of certain personal information from required disclosure under the public information law. |
SB 1829 Wentworth Relating to excluding certain entities from the definition of a governmental body for the purposes of the public information law. |
